Vitamin E and Selenium are two antioxidants that inhibit spontaneous oxidation of highly unsaturated substances.
Vitamin E (= α-tocopherol) is a lipid-soluble antioxidant in cellular and subcellular membranes. It works as a first line of defence against peroxidation of vital phospholipids. Vitamin E also inhibits the production of prostaglandin PGE2, which suppresses cellular immunity. Lastly, vitamin E maintains membrane fluidity.

This would play a role in antigen recognition, cell response and membrane repair. Vitamin E favourably alters the proliferation and ratio of T-helper cells and cytotoxic cells in addition to improve antibody response.
Selenium is an important component of different selenoproteins. One of these is glutathione peroxidase that works as a second line of defence, destroying peroxides before they can attack. Other selenoproteins are: selenoprotein W, sperm capsule selenoprotein, iodothyronine deiodinases and thioredoxin reductase.

These actions explain the growth problems, fertility problems, and muscle problems during Vitamin E and Selenium
deficiency.


BIOLOGICAL ANTIOXIDANT
By preventing peroxidation of the cell wall, MYOGASTER-E protects skeletal muscles, hart and liver.

IMMUNITY BOOSTER
MYOGASTER-E has a favourable activity on the proliferation of Thelper cells and on the recognition of antigens. Besides, it protects leucocytes and macrophages during phagocytosis by inhibiting prostaglandin PGE2 synthesis.

POSTPARTUM COMPLICATIONS
MYOGASTER-E prevents mastitis, retention of foetal membranes and failure to conceive.

DIARRHOEA TREATMENT
MYOGASTER-E restores the normal motility in the small intestine after diarrhoea.


INDICATIONS

Cattle :
• Muscular dystrophy in calves (white muscle disease)
• Post-partum complications in cows: mastitis, retention of foetal membranes, failure to conceive (= repeat breeders)
• Diarrhoea

Pigs :
• Mulberry heart disease (vascular damage in the heart muscle)
• Acute hepatosis dietetica (coagulative necrosis of the hepatic parenchyma)
• Diarrhoea

Chicken:
• Crazy chick disease (encephalomalacia by vascular damage in the brain tissue)
• Exsudative diathesis
• Head-drop
• Stiffness (skeletal muscle damage)
• Sudden death (heart failure or liver failure)
• Atrophy of the pancreas
• Before vaccination

Horse:
• White muscle disease in suckling or weanling foal
• Condition failure
• Steatitis

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

All animals:
• 1 ml per 10 kg body weight
• Repeat after 1 month (in case of prevention, one treatment is sufficient)

Poultry:
• 10 ml per 40 litres of drinking water
• during 6 days
